Unity in Diversity: Positioning India as a Leader in Emerging Global Scenario
In
India we meet different people. Some are Rajputs, some are Sikh, some are
Hindus, some are Muslims, some eat Non - vegetarian, whereas some avoid eating
that. Some celebrate Christmas while some others celebrate Diwali, Eid, Holi,
Gurupurab. We all are so different from each other, but the one thing that is
common among us all is ‘oneness’. There is UNITY EVEN WITH
SUCH A VARIETY.
As Rabindranath
Tagore very eloquently said: If God had
so wished, he would have made all the Indians speak one language, follow one
tradition and religion, but God did not want it this way. He felt that the
identity of India would only be in having a diversity.
Criticism and inequalities are not
the ideologies we follow anymore. Over the years, we have evolved as a leader
with a strong bond of humanity among us. India is such a
diversified civilization with over 1650 spoken languages, varied dressing
styles and with millions of people coming from various backgrounds and
cultures, but despite of all these external differences, we are united with a
common cultural heritage and live together with love, peace and brotherhood.
Every region starting from Jammu and Kashmir in the North to Kanyakumari in the
South portray the ideology of living as a union and respecting
the different opinions of people.
India’s struggle for freedom is the best example of Unity in Diversity, where
all the people no matter from what religion they came from, fought with the
only motive of making India free from all the colonial powers. The leaders of
India’s freedom movement used the slogan ‘Unity in Diversity’ to make the
freedom fight successful because we all know ‘WHERE THERE IS UNITY
THERE IS STRENGTH.’
Recently India
played a crucial role in helping Telangana and Hyderabad recover from the flood
situation and helped them by providing safety kits and donations.
EK BHARAT SHRESHTHA BHARAT is our belief of today and
as we are fighting this global pandemic, we as the pride citizens of India are
positioning it as a leader in this emerging Global scenario. We are not making
differences anymore instead we are helping people without jobs and money by
providing them with economical support. We are no more being selective, rather
we are helping the whole nation fight this pandemic because we all know, ‘WHERE
THERE IS UNITY, THERE IS PROPERITY’. To summarize my discussion,
I would like to conclude that we are so strong and proud of our country India
that nothing can
break the unity of our nation and when I write this, I pledge to remain united
in whatever conditions I may be put up to.
We are able to see the
difference, but there is no difference.
There is just Unity without uniformity and diversity
without fragmentation.
