The worth of the crumpled bill - You're special. Don't forget that!
Recognize your origin, your worth and value
We
often say, I am worthless, I couldn't accomplish such a small goal. I am
useless, I ruined my life, because of this decision. I am so worthless.
Why, Why are you worthless?
What have you done?
You have just followed your dream; you have just followed your inner soul. You
have just done what you loved to do. You have not done anything wrong or
harmful
A
well-known speaker started his speech by showing everyone a $20 bill. In the
room of many people, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?” Suddenly many
hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you, but
first, let me crumple it.”
After crumpling it, he asked again, “Who still wants this?” Still hands were up
in the air.
He said, “Well! what if I do this?” He dropped the bill on the ground and
started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He then picked it up and asked,
“Who still wants it?” Stills a few hands were up in the air.
After
this small demonstration, he began speaking, “Now my friends we have learnt a
very important lesson from this demonstration. No matter what I did to the
bill, I crumpled it, ground it onto the floor with my shoe, but it was still
wanted because its value did not decrease. It was still worth $20. Many times,
in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the
decisions we make. We may feel as though we are worthless, but no matter what
has happened to us or will happen, we will never lose our value – even if we
are dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased.
We are and will be priceless to those who love us from the bottom of their
hearts.
When I say this, I also want you to remember the same for the others as well.
Before you completely reject someone, see them worthless, as a crippled note
that is not perfect, you must introspect about their role in making your life
complete.
