Quotidian Superheroes
From a spirited body free to roam,
To always staying at home.
In the face of the pandemic, gripped by fear and despair,
They stood tall, showing how much they care.
When was the last time we acknowledged them?
When was the last time we worried about them?
When was the last time we recognized their endless care?
When was the last time we realized the endless burdens they bear?
It’s been long their loved ones have met,
and ages since they peacefully slept.
Tirelessly working twenty four cross seven,
Risking their lives to provide us heaven.
Doctors, nurses, policemen and the sanitation custodian,
Our nation's heroes in every situation.
Not all superheroes wear capes,
Ours are seen wearing uniforms, scrubs and drapes in their daily race.
Now, it’s time to acknowledge their sacrifices and tireless fight.
To appreciate these warriors who bring us the light.
Thank you for your endless unity,
For protecting us all in the time of uncertainty.
We salute you, our heroes, with gratitude so true,
For your unwavering service, we're forever indebted to you.
