India Khelega!

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY!

It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up with hope and faith in our heart and dream in the head .

The 5' S of sports:

1) Stamina
2)
Speed
3)
Strength
4)
Skill
5) Spirit

Sports are a crucial part of our growth and development. They help in improving the mental health and physical fitness of the body. Through participation in sports, we gain broad range of skills that benefit us. For example, an ability to narrow our focus and concentrate is important for the gymnast performing an aerial beam, the archer shooting at the target and the rugby league player attempting a goal conversion. Sports also teaches us teamwork. If we are introvert then it encourages us to collaborate and work as a team member together. Similarly, the ability to be assertive, is useful when contesting the ball in basketball and soccer. To have poise and confidence as the netballer shooting a penalty shot under time pressure or taking a block in swimming. We can do many at-home exercises like on the spot jogging or any other indoor exercises which increase the heart rate and oxygen intake in the body. We could also add strengthening twice a week be it cardiorespiratory exercises or muscle strengthening. Sports and games together helps to reduce the level of anxiety and depression, builds mind concentration, improves body fitness and posture and helps to get a better sleep. By playing sports we are less likely to suffer from depression and experience greater life satisfaction.

  • Sports teaches us about life.
  • It teaches us character.
  • It teaches us to play by rules.
  • It teaches us to know what it feels to win and lose

ON THIS SPECIAL DAY I ENCOURAGE ALL OF YOU TO PLAY SPORTS EVERYDAY FOR YOUR HEALTH AND FITNESS .
