A homage to my Guru

Mosaic is a painting or picture obtained by arranging small pieces of stone, glass, paper and other materials to make a variety of patterns. It is a creative type of art technique where we can mix and make a blend of colors by adding the shades, hue, tint, and tone of the main color. It is a decorative piece and is used as a creative way to elaborate the work of art and pattern. This type of art form was very famous in the Ancient Roman period and was used to decorate floors and walls. In modern days, it is used to make patterns, paintings and tiles to decorate houses.

I have tried to paint the first Guru of Sikh religion, the messenger who had a great belief in God and preached everyone about Ek - God is one, the power of SACH (truth) and is known for fighting demons with his peace of mind and love for all. I have painted GURU NANAK DEV JI through the technique of mosaic.
This painting is a tribute to him on his 550th Prakash Purab.

It was a warm and comfortable night, I was like a snug as a bug in a rug in my cozy bed when I unknowingly dozed off and I was in a fairyland with fairies and dwarfs dancing around me and singing melodious songs. I was sitting under the shade of a tree when a fairy came very close to my ear and said (snore... … snore.....) , that’s where my pleasant dream broke. This is with reference to Shashi Shekhar's 2021: For India, a year of mixed fortunes (straightforward, December 27). I fully agree with the author. This year has been a real rollercoaster with frequent highs as well as lows. The rise in Covid deaths, emergence of a new variant, increased economic inequality, standoff between India and China, return of the Taliban in Afghanistan, firing of the Nagas and the sad demise of the First chief of defense staff and 12 others have left us stunned and horrified. Every Indian is hoping to never witness such a year again. However, as the saying goes, every cloud has a silver lining, the unfortunate happenings have  brought with it lots of glory for India.
